Delizios is an utterly charming wine bar and café nestled in downtown Littleton — an oasis of calm that has been wowing locals since opening. Rich banquettes of dark leather are lush and comfortable, and the lighting is absolute perfection. A roaring fire pit adds a touch of rugged class to the place as well. Delizios’s menu is tapas-style, which means that little plates are the order of the day. Some recommended dishes include great salads and excellent Panini sandwiches, composed with freshly-sourced ingredients and served up by attentive staff. Flatbread pizzas are also excellent, with many drizzled in the delicious balsamic reduction that is a house specialty. Most of the baked goods are fresh daily, which adds to the experience. The wine selection is more than competent, with twenty wines by the glass and over 60 by the bottle, hand-picked by a master sommelier. Delizios also hosts a variety of free musical performances and weekly specials.

A downtown Littleton tradition from days past returns this year. That’s right, it’s the return of the Pumpkin Follies and Goat Show! And we are excited to be hosting the awards and coronation ceremony for this year’s event on Fri, Oct 7th from 7:00 to 8:30pm. Come and see which merchant team will be awarded top honors in the Pumpkin Pole decorating contest, plus also see which lucky merchants will be coronated as King & Queen of the Follies! It will be a “variety show” format featuring lots of wacky fun and entertainment, along with numerous surprises.  Greg Moody, entertainment reporter from Channel 4 News will be hosting the event. There will be a $5 admission charge and seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.  Come on down for a zany great time!

It’s fall and we are gearing up for some Oktoberfest fun! Appropriately, for the next few weeks we will officially be calling our outdoor patio a “biergarten”!  Come on down an enjoy a Paulaner beer from Munich in an authentic one litre German beer stein (don’t worry, for those less adventurous we’ll be serving standard size beers).  And on Saturday and Sunday afternoons we will also be serving up grilled bratwursts and we’ll even have live German polka music out on the patio, er…beer garden! Having a great time will be mandatory, singing and doing the chicken dance will be optional.

We invite you to come join us for our next regional wine dinner. You will have the opportunity to experience an enjoyable and very tasteful evening, as you learn about four different wines from Spain. Our house singer (Mike) will be playing out on the patio this Saturday evening, beginning around 6:30pm.  The weather is looking great for some patio fun, so please come on by!
